About Us
The Northshoremen chorus is located in Beverly, Massachusetts, a chapter of the Society's Northeastern District and member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). Founded in 1938 in Tulsa, Okla., the Barbershop Harmony Society is the largest all-male singing organization in the world. The Beverly chapter was originally organized and chartered under the society's previous name, The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA) in May of 1948, sponsored by the New Bedford MA chapter.
There are currently 54 men on our Chapter's membership roster representing 28 towns & cities in 4 states; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Florida. We are one of 800 chapters in the U.S. and Canada comprising a worldwide Society membership of more than 34,000 men.
The Northshoremen meet from 7:00pm to 9:30pm every Wednesday at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 46 Cherry St (see map) in Danvers, Massachusetts.
Visitors are always welcome... Feel free to drop by.
