Did you sing in college? Do you sing with a group now, formally or informally? Do you sing in the shower or the car when you think no one is listening? Our chorus is always looking for men of all ages who like to sing.
Barbershop harmony is based on four parts: tenor, lead, baritone and bass. No formal vocal training is required. If you have never sung Barbershop, we will help you learn. Our singers are generous and have developed techniques you can use to join in. You can listen to a short demo if your curious. If you have sung Barbershop, you’ll be glad to know we are an experienced, dedicated group looking to grow and get better everyday. We are about our members and our music.
The Northshoremen meet every Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm at the All Saints Episcopal Church at 46 Cherry Street (see map) in Danvers, MA. If you have questions, please reach out to us at (866) 727-4988 if you want to know more.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE SING TOGETHER?
As part of a nonprofit organization, the Barbershop Harmony Society, we understand and embraces the transformative power of harmony.
We know that group harmonizing can help:
improve physical and emotional health
build healthier communities
young people become healthier adults
forge inter-generational bonds
reduce barriers across diverse cultures and groups
build healthy self-identities
